July 2019 saw the age worn interpretation board outside the Steyning Centre, replaced with a lovely new version. It displays narrative about the area, the South Downs National Park and how to access walks nearby.
A project undertaken by the Visitor & Tourism Group, a sub-committee of the Steyning & District Community Partnership, this involved a lot of time in design and finish, but now is an informative piece of work helpful to both resident & visitor alike.
It was funded by Central Sussex LEADER and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. This project links in with another Partnership enterprise, the production of various new signage through the High Street taking the walker to the start of the Upper & Lower Horseshoe footpaths.
