Description

The South Downs Way path stretches along the top of the South Downs from the ancient cathedral city of Winchester in the west, first capital of England, through to the white chalky cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head at Eastbourne in the east.

Almost all of its stunning 160 kilometre length is off-road with the route leading the visitor to many fantastic views of the Sussex countryside and coast. The route can easily be picked up at Steyning.The route is suitable for walking, cycling and horses.
