Formerly a 15th century coaching inn and staging post on the road from Brighton to London. The grade II listed building, reputedly visited by Charles I and said to be haunted, was badly destroyed by fire in 1946. 60 years later, it was lovingly and sympathetically restored.

The White Horse Smokehouse & Grill is a local family run pub. We are located in the rolling hills of the South Downs; in the picturesque town of Steyning. We're only 14 miles away from Brighton.

This welcoming public house is a popular location to stop off for a pint of local ale or a bite to eat by the log fire, after a scenic countryside walk.
